Did You Know?
Monty Roberts, the legendary horse trainer, inspired the design of our Cavallo Full Monty Saddle Pad, which was named in his honour!
After trying out our saddle pads, Monty reached out with an enthusiastic review—one of the most thrilling we’ve ever received. Carole and Greg shared Monty’s passion for improving horse care and listened when he asked to design a pad of his own – a pad just like the Cavallo Western All-Purpose Pad, but longer and twice as thick! leading to the creation of the Full Monty Saddle Pad. And that’s how the Cavallo Full Monty Saddle Pad was born!

These six mini-therapy horses are based in South Carolina, and they love stepping out in their Cavalo CLB Cute Little Boots!
Despite their small stature, their impact is immense as they engage in a variety of activities such as nursing home visits, school presentations, and field trips, spreading warmth and companionship wherever they go.

Wear Patterns - What They Really Mean!
Have you heard of Progressive Hoof Care Practitioners? If not – we are happy to introduce you to them!
PHCP is an educational foundation for hoof care professionals and horse owners alike. Their two-part webinar clinic series introduces a simple protocol for establishing patterns of movement and wear patterns. It’s an excellent resource for you or for your trimmer!
Part 1 – Wear Patterns and Movement
How do we know what effect our trimming has on equine hooves? In this session, learn a protocol for establishing how trimming affects equine hooves and movement. This protocol is simple and efficient to use with a mobile phone, camera, or pen and paper. This protocol is a tangible tool that will help vets with lameness issues and when used on a regular basis acts as a record to validate your work.
Part 2 – Considerations Based on Movement
Once you’ve established patterns of movement, it becomes easier to detect any abnormalities and identify and treat problems before they become serious. The protocol will maximize the efficiency of biomechanics and reduce strain and stress on your horse.
The recording of this webinar may be purchased and viewed as many times as you would like until Jan 29, 2025. Cost is $65 for PHCP members and $110 for non-members.
What YOU'RE Saying: Cavallo Hoof Boot Reviews
"I did a bunch of research, and Cavallo came up..."
“I recently purchased a set of ELBs for a mountain trip I was doing with my…
…horse. Being new to hoof boots, I did a bunch of research, and Cavallo consistently came up as a recommended brand.
I have to say, I am very impressed. Way cheaper than other brands, easy to put on/off and clean, and they did their job through a lot of varied terrain. I went with the ELB as they fit tighter around my mare’s pastern (Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse cross) and after watching the video on Cavallo’s website describing the different styles, I figured they should hold up for what I need them for.
On that note, the website is very helpful, and their customer service is also amazing! I don’t think you could go wrong in purchasing Cavallo’s if looking for hoof boots.”

"She walked that trail like she owned It!"
“Just received my new sparkling boots from you guys today. I just had to try…
…them out cause she’s been so sore due to thin soles, and she walked that trail like she owned it! Not one hoof out of place! I even had a ton of compliments from others on the trail! Thanks again. Now I’ll probably need back ones to complete the cool look
-Michelle Vander Vlis
"Wouldn’t stand a chance without his Cavallos..."
“Here is an example of some of the terrain we’ve ridden for the past…
…three months. These same four boots were already in use at home for close to a year when we arrived in the desert for this trip.
Today we saw a desert Bighorn Sheep sighting while crossing a technical portion of the Desperado Loop Trail in Peralta Regional Park, Gold Canyon, Arizona.
Then yesterday we rode in much mud at Picketpost Mountain riding the Arnet and Telegraph Canyon Trails – with the rivers running from the rains last week. Boots stayed on perfectly in all three places while wet.
I no longer worry about boots… We also cross the salt river and then canter the sandy washes, while the river water drains out. No problems at all.

A Poem About Booting...
Here’s a fun poem, written by a horse about how it felt transitioning to barefoot and using Cavallo Boots for the first time:
“Beneath the sun’s warm gaze, we roam, Barefoot steeds on paths unknown.
“Hooves, unshod, kiss gravel and grass, As we dance through the seasons that pass.
“But wait! What’s this? A secret shared, A boon bestowed, a gift declared: Cavallo boots, snug and strong, To shield their soles from rugged throng.
“In meadows green or rocky trails, these boots embrace each hoof’s details. With every step, they whisper grace, A promise kept—a steadfast embrace.
“Through sun-drenched days and moonlit nights, The booted horses find their flights. Their willing hearts, both wild and wise, In Cavallo’s care, forever rise.
“So here’s to those who gallop free, In boots that blend with earth and sea. Booted bold, they stride along, Their hooves adorned—a timeless song.”
