Finding Wellness at PATH 2017 Conference

Jenny from Cavallo and PATH Staff at San Antonio Airport

A Meeting of Minds

Imagine 600 people grouped together who all love horses, and want to help themselves and others heal. PTSD, sexual abuse and autism are but some of the conditions that can be successfully healed by horses. Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) does just that!

Jenny Mundell, Cavallo Customer Experience Guru, went on down to Texas to hold a place at the PATH conference as an honoured sponsor.

PATH Conference and Awards Luncheon

Between the moving talk by keynote speaker Cara Elizabeth Khan , and the nominations and awards received by PATH’s very deserving members there was not a dry eye in the house!  A touching and inspirational experience for all attendees, the joy, the hard work, the hardships and the rewards were highlighted amongst the tears.  Beautifully produced videos about award winners and nominees conveyed the shared member experience. Bottom line – overcoming barriers in life through therapeutic riding.

Jenny was impressed by the devotion and commitment shown by the staff members from PATH.  Present were PATH CEO Kathy Alm, Executive Assistant Kandis Branum, and Sara DePape, Rachel Moore and Jeff Kelling from the PATH Educational Department.  And you can see our Dear Jenny in the photo, second from the left.  If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Jenny yet, give Cavallo a call. To know this gal is to love her.

Valuable Arena Demonstrations by PATH Instructors

Chris Cooke from the Wild Horsemanship Center

Chris Cooke from the Wild Horsemanship Center

Besides all the work and collaboration, there was some entertainment consisting of two active arenas with Instructors from PATH Centres giving demonstrations.  Chris Cook from the Wild Horsemanship Center in Florida was a pleasant surprise as an unscheduled guest speaker at the very end of the day. Chris and his very eager horse gave a heartfelt demonstration of how body energy can be used effectively when relating to a horse.

Cavallo Shares Knowledge with PATH Members

Our Cavallo booth was set up at the conference so any questions PATH members had about our products could be answered.  Jenny was super excited at the level of interest shown – at times there were people lined up to ask questions and check out our products. She got an intense immersion into what it’s like outside our office.  She was very busy and regrets she was unable to chat with everyone, so if you were at the conference and didn’t get a chance to ask a question but wanted to, you can always contact us here at Cavallo via phone, Facebook or email.  We have the resources, person-to-person support and fabulous Cavallo Hoof Boots to make it all possible! And do check out PATH. If you are like me, you’ll find this group a true inspiration.

Happy Trails,
