Image of Hearts & Hooves LogoThis month, we are featuring one of PATH Intl.’s center, Hearts & Hooves, Inc. It’s a Premier Accredited Center since 2004 that is dedicated to serving individuals with special needs through partnership with the horse. Hearts & Hooves believe in promoting independence through Therapeutic Riding and Equine Facilitated Learning to enrich the lives of everyone who participates at the farm.

During the 2016 PATH Intl. Conference and Annual Meeting Awards Banquet, the Hearts and Hooves Center won a few amazing awards for their work. In Region 10, Doctor Michael Suit won Veterinarian of the Year and Sadie won Equine of the Year. The 2016 PATH Intl. Exemplary Award Winners were awarded to Doctor Angel Jordan, Veterinarian of the Year; Dave Culbertson, Volunteer of the Year; and Karissa Peterson, Paul Spiers Independent Adult Equestrian Award that are all apart of Hearts and Hooves.

The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) promotes safety and optimal outcomes in equine – assisted activities and therapies, collectively known as EAAT, for individuals with Special Needs. PATH Intl. welcomes all ages with a range of physical, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive challenges. There are more than 870 member centers and more than 8,000 individual members all over the world! PATH Intl. also supports more than 62,400 men, women, and children, along with 5,500 veterans.
