Dutch Henry’s Stories of Horses and Their People

Howdy Folks,

Here in the horse world we all know the goodness of the tremendous spirit of our equine friends. We’ve all been changed forever by a certain horse. Or had our hearts touched by the person who introduced us to the healing and teaching abilities of horses.

Carole Herder and the wonderful folks at Cavallo Horse & Rider Inc are dedicated to doing all they can to help horses and people. I write stories about the horses and people who give so much to help others, and am very excited to have been asked by Cavallo to guest blog here monthly.

I write about mounted patrol officers and their steadfast horses who, on their own time, teach at-risk children the value of responsibility, respect and a job well done. I write about the therapeutic riding centers where tireless volunteers and remarkable horses show little girls with spina bifida that they can indeed sit tall, and smile wide. I write about folks who live in an old rusty trailer in the dessert of New Mexico to protect a band of wild Mustangs. I write about world famous trainers who provide scholarships for thousands of children. These are stories of remarkable people and horses who touch hearts and change lives.

I will post a new story about the twenty-fifth of each month. It is our hope that these stories will not only pay tribute and be exciting, but will be inspiring as well. So many people do so much and in this way we’d like to offer our thanks.

If you know of a wonderful horse, person or organization whose story I should tell, Please contact me.
