“They contacted us a few months ago and asked if we’d be interested in filming a commercial. I of course said yes! I explained what we do and that, at a minimum, Sprinkles the mini would need to wear his CLB boots for the set. I would forego all gear except that!
So they totally created the script and once I read it, I said Cavallo’s is gunna be THRILLED! As you’re one of our long term supporters I couldn’t have imagined this script any better.

No Sight, Endless Spirit: Meeting Endo the Blind Horse
Happy 25th birthday Endo!
At Western States Horse Expo, we had the incredible honor of celebrating a true equine legend—Endo the Blind.
Endo’s journey is one of fierce spirit and unbreakable trust. After losing both eyes to Equine Recurrent Uveitis (ERU), this striking Appaloosa didn’t just survive—he thrived. Thanks to the extraordinary love and dedication of his owner, Morgan Wagner, Endo learned to navigate the world in total darkness using voice commands, liberty work, and a heart full of courage.
Today, he performs complex liberty routines, trail rides, stunt work, and even competes in working equitation—without sight or lead line.
In 2022, Endo earned his place in the Guinness World Records with three incredible feats:
- Highest free jump by a blind horse
- Most flying changes in one minute
- Fastest weaving through five poles (in just under 7 seconds!)

Tips from the Cavallo Hoof Care Cavalry!
Dry, hard summer ground making your horse tender? Dealing with abscesses, white line disease, or prepping for a trim?

Ah, summer: long days, sunshine, birds chirping… and hooves hard as rocks! While hard, dry hooves are great, sometimes you do need to soak your horse’s hooves, such as sensitivity on hard, dry ground, or when dealing with an abscess, white line disease and medicated soaks, or just softening things up before a trim (your trimmer will thank you – trust me!).
But let’s be honest here. Soaking hooves can be a soggy disaster!!! Buckets get kicked, water goes everywhere, and somehow you end up wetter than the horse. Sound familiar? Luckily for you, your Cavallo boots can double as soaking boots with just a few, easy adjustments.
Cover the side drainage holes with duct tape (don’t forget the little slits at the back!). To hold moisture even better, you can add a small towel inside the boot soles, just where you would put your hoof boot pad. If you need to soak above the cornet band, simply slip a bread bag over the foot, pop the boot on, and fill it up. Easy, effective, and bucket-free. Your horse stays happy, and you stay dry… mostly!

Spirit: Once Neglected, Now Loved

“Spirit lived in the backyard of a residential neighbourhood for 4 years with a donkey as his companion. The donkey passed away and Spirit lived alone for 3 years with very little care.
Sadly, his 83-year-old owner was having difficulty caring for him, plus an inexperienced farrier did serious damage to this sweet pony’s hooves. One of our volunteers rescued him about 6 months ago. She immediately had a full vet exam and started treatment for the neglect of his dental care, his long hooves and untreated Laminitis.
His Cavallo CLB boots have truly helped ease his sole tenderness. Sadly, he still has thin soles due to an inexperienced farrier who trimmed too much away from the sole, until he hit blood, about 1 year ago. The vet said Spirit was dangerously close to having his coffin bone exposed.
With experienced care and months of TLC, he has progressed in his healing journey. Now, with his new Cavallo Boots, Spirit can be lightly ridden to the happiness of his 12-year-old BFF, Taytum!”

Love gaited horses and curious about gait differences? Ivy explains what makes a single foot gait as well as what gaits it’s commonly confused with.
“The sound will still be the same: pucka, pucka, pucka, pucka.”
“Both are evenly timed gaits with no head nod, but it’s about how many feet are on the ground that determines which movement it is.”
She adds, “In my opinion, after a lot of research, the singlefoot gait is the same as the speed rack and fast ‘tölt’. It is an evenly timed movement, with no head nod. It has a moment when one foot is on the ground and three are in the air. Which follows by two feet on the ground and two in the air, and it repeats.”
